About HelloMyTrainer

HelloMyTrainer was created with one simple idea: everyone deserves access to a clear, safe and effective fitness plan — whether or not they can afford a personal trainer.

What we do

We publish free workout programs for men and women, for training at home or in the gym, from complete beginner to advanced. Each program comes with exact sets, reps and rest times and an 8-week progression. Our exercise library explains every movement with animated pictures, step-by-step instructions, the muscles worked, common mistakes and safer or harder variations. Our 7-day American meal plans and calculators turn nutrition science into simple daily numbers.

Our principles

  • Evidence first. Our recommendations follow widely accepted guidelines such as the U.S. Physical Activity Guidelines and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and peer-reviewed sports-science research.
  • Simple and practical. We explain things in plain English, without hype, miracle claims or unsafe shortcuts.
  • Privacy-friendly. Our plan builder and calculators work without accounts or personal information.
  • For everyone. Men and women, beginners and experienced lifters, gym-goers and people training in their living room.
  • Safety. We always remind readers to consult a medical professional before starting a new program, especially with a health condition.

How we create content

Our articles and programs are written by fitness enthusiasts with years of training experience and reviewed against current research and public health guidelines. We update content when new evidence becomes available, and each page shows when it was last updated. Exercise images come from the open-source, public-domain Free Exercise DB project.

How we are funded

HelloMyTrainer is free to use and is supported by display advertising (for example Google AdSense or other ad networks). Advertisers do not influence our recommendations. Ads are always clearly labeled "Advertisement".
